Our impact

For nearly 31 years, Immaculate Heart Community Development Corp., Inc. has been committed to serving our community with compassion, faith, and action. Our greatest success is measured not by numbers alone, but by the lives we’ve touched and the hope we’ve restored.

Following Hurricane Katrina, our organization responded immediately to families in need by distributing food, ice, drinking water, and emergency supplies while many communities were still recovering from the storm’s devastating effects. We also helped secure more than 35 mobile homes and travel trailers for displaced families, arranged temporary hotel accommodations for those without shelter, and assisted in the construction of four to five homes, helping families rebuild their lives.

Over the years, we have operated community food banks, distributed donated food and household essentials, including Walmart donations when available, and provided assistance to individuals and families facing difficult times.

Education has always been one of our priorities. We have helped students pursue higher education by assisting with college tuition and have supported families through annual back-to-school drives, providing school supplies to help children begin the school year prepared for success.

Our commitment extends beyond emergency assistance. We organize and participate in community outreach events, support local families wherever needs arise, and continue developing programs that strengthen youth, serve seniors, assist veterans, and provide hope to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Every act of service reflects our belief that strong communities are built when neighbors care for one another.
